Martin Ssejjemba is a Ugandan politician who was elected as the chairman of the Mpigi District Local Council V (LCV) in 2021. He is a member of the National Unity Platform (NUP), the opposition party in Uganda.
Ssejjemba was born in 1993 in Mpigi District. He attended local schools and later joined Makerere University, where he studied law. After graduating, he worked as a lawyer for several years before entering politics.
In 2021, Ssejjemba was elected as the LCV chairman of Mpigi District, defeating the incumbent chairman, Peter Claver Mutuluza. He is the youngest person to ever be elected to this position.
As LCV chairman, Ssejjemba is responsible for overseeing the development of Mpigi District. He has focused on improving infrastructure, education, and health care in the district. He has also worked to promote tourism and attract investment to the district.
