Dr. Muhamad Kigundu Musoke is a Ugandan physician and politician. He is the current Minister of Health of Uganda, serving in that role since 2021. Previously, he served as the Director General of Health Services in the Ugandan Ministry of Health from 2017 to 2021.
Dr. Musoke is a graduate of Makerere University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1987. He also holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of London, which he obtained in 1991.
Dr. Musoke has extensive experience in public health and health policy. He has worked for the Ugandan Ministry of Health in various capacities, including as the Director of Health Services and the Commissioner for Health Services. He has also worked as a consultant and technical officer for the World Health Organization (WHO).
Dr. Musoke is a member of the Uganda Medical Association and the Uganda Public Health Association. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
Dr. Musoke is known for his commitment to improving the health of the people of Uganda. He is a strong advocate for universal health coverage and the provision of quality healthcare services to all Ugandans.
